How to send a quote to a customer for signature?

Mobileforce CPQ allows you to add both your digital signature as well as your customer's (if present).

To allow your customer to enter a signature, click the Set Signature button beneath the Customer name (highlighted in teal, above).

A pop-up window is displayed. Your customer can use a mouse, digital pen, or stylus to enter their signature and click Set to return to the Signatures page.

Remote Customers (using your own email)

If you require a signature to complete the proposal, and your customer is remote from your location, then you can (a) Save the Proposal to your local or cloud storage (b) send by email as an attachment, the proposal documents to your customer. (c) Customers can then view the received email and open the attached quote, to add their signature, using available methods. For example:

For more information, see Generating Signatures for your Proposal.

Remote Customers (using Mobileforce email)

If you require remote customers to directly receive the quote in a fast streamlined manner, you can directly send the quote through Mobileforce CPQ. To achieve this,

  1. Add a "Send Quote" tab to the Quote UI Layout, typically as the last step, after the quote document has been generated.
  2. Have your Mobileforce Support/Solutions Team customize this "Send Quote" tab using a "Send Quote To Customer" action that uses either the Property quote_link_with_nocode (for sending email without any recipient authentication) or quote_link_with_code (for sending email where the recipient needs to authenticate themselves by verifying their email before they can view the quote)
  3. Partners and Mobileforce Support/Solution Team can find the send quote by email workflow here
  4. To configure e-signatures in Mobileforce CPQ, the modifications to the Quote UI Layout can be found here which is a part of the Quote UI Layout.
