HubSpot SalesHub Feature Constraints with Mobileforce

HubSpot SalesHub Feature Constraints with Mobileforce

HubSpot SalesHub CRM offers several objects, features, and licenses which impose limitations/constraints on their use by CRM customers. Here we document the HubSpot SalesHub constraints that impact Mobileforce CPQ.

HubSpot SalesHub licenses

Mobileforce CPQ works with HubSpot SalesHub for Businesses and Enterprises specifically SalesHub Professional or SalesHub Enterprise. Customers who have HubSpot platform or bundles need to ensure that either SalesHub Professional or SalesHub Enterprise is a part of that bundle.

Mobileforce install from HubSpot App Marketplace

The Mobileforce CPQ application from the HubSpot Marketplace is installed by a Hubspot user with Marketplace install permissions.

Object Scopes

The Mobileforce CPQ Application specifies scopes (read and write) on HubSpot objects that can be read/written by Mobileforce. Please find these objects (specifically, Company, Contact, Deal, Products, and Tickets as well as their properties) listed in the Shared data section of the Mobileforce listing on the HubSpot Marketplace. In addition, HubSpot Activities and Notes are also updated by Mobileforce CPQ.

Note:

Please note that some HubSpot objects are read and written ( bidirectional integration) whereas other HubSpot objects are only read. This is by design, or due to limitations of HubSpot APIs.

Please also note that Mobileforce CPQ can also write other HubSpot objects that are not listed in the "Shared Data" section. If you need Mobileforce integration with other HubSpot objects, please contact Mobileforce Support.

Specific Hubspot License Constraints

  1. Often times, CPQ processes require the use of custom objects such as custom pricing tables for tax or shipping, or adding custom properties of existing objects such as products or quotes.
You can create, view, read, write, list, and search as well as manipulate custom objects in Mobileforce CPQ.
However, if you need to write and manipulate these objects in HubSpot, then Hubspot mandates that you have a HubSpot Enterprise Edition license.

  2. Mobileforce CPQ uses HubSpot SSO to integrate tightly with HubSpot.. thus you can use your HubSpot user credentials to access Mobileforce CPQ from within HubSpot. Not only that, Mobileforce CPQ also integrates with HubSpot roles. Thus, depending on your HubSpot role, you can get access to different aspects of Mobileforce CPQ: for example, HubSpot Admins can also get Admin access to MobileForce, whereas non-admin HubSpot users can't access Mobileforce Admin.

However, if you want to use HubSpot SSO to access other enterprise systems (beyond MobileForce), then HubSpot mandates that you have a HubSpot Enterprise Edition license.

Note:

HubSpot SalesHub licenses need to be assigned to users, in order for Permission Sets to work, and hence for HubSpot Roles to be used in Mobileforce CPQ.
