Mobileforce Table Structure

Objects in Mobileforce are represented in Tables. All Mobileforce products support two kinds of tables:

Standard Tables

Every table in Mobileforce has the following standard fields:

Custom Tables

Mobileforce also supports custom tables. Any table whose id ends with __c is a Custom Table.

By way of naming convention, all Forms are custom tables – they all start with Form* in the table name: this is done for easy identification.

Any field whose name ends with __c is a Custom Field.

A custom fields can be in a standard table or a custom table.

Any field that refers to another table record (Typically will look something like <field … type="picklist" and listitems="@" />) will hold the Unique id of the target record it points to – this is the link you can use to tie one record to another record in another table (like a child -> parent or record -> related record).

Any table’s label can be customized for business needs. So, for example, the standard WorkOrder table can be renamed and labeled as Job. Similarly, the standard ServiceTask table can be labeled Job Info Sheet.
