Trackers

Tracking a project is an important step where one compares the actual progress to planned progress, and identifies any issues that may delay the project from staying on schedule and exceed the anticipated budget.

Tracking enables Project Collaborators to keep up to date with work completed, resources used, and anticipate additional time and resources needed to complete the project.

In Mobileforce FSM, trackers are top level entities, similar to Projects, and are set up using Templates as follows:

Once trackers are created, the tracker list view is a quick way to see all the project trackers

Once a tracker is created, clicking on "Setup" enables the following view on the tracker:

Here one can add tracker fields and tracker milestones using the "+" symbol next to each

Once fields and milestones are created for a tracker, now the tracker is ready for use. The following operations can be performed on a tracker: Run, Clone, or Delete. In addition, the Back button takes you back to the "Tracker Setup" list view of trackers from where a different tracker can be selected.

Since trackers use templates, these templates must first be set up. This process of creating templates is performed by an FSM Admin in the Setup --> Service --> Templates menu.

When user adds a Template Milestone to a Template, all ServiceTasks or WorkOrders or Projects referencing that Template will have new Milestone added.
