# Add an API Platform

Next you must create an API platform on SugarCRM through which Mobileforce can communicate with the CRM.

1. Log in to your SugarCRM instance using admin credentials.  
2. From the **Administration** page, select **Configure API Platform** located in the **Developer Tools** section.  
3. Add a new API platform using the name _api_.  
4. Click **Save** when finished.
